Biography of 6 Day Riot
6 Day Riot is a London based band formed in 2004 featuring Tamara Schlesinger, 6 Day Riot have an individual, eclectic sound, taking on influences from folk and pop music.
Their first EP, "Maybe", was released in July 2006 and in May 2007 they released their début album "Folie à Deux" on Hubris Records, and their album was produced by well-known producer Steve Levine.
The 6 Day Riot sound is both eclectic and at the same time entirely integrated - harnessing banjos, ukeleles, guitars and accordions with Eastern European folk beats, bluegrass rhythms, distorted guitars and infectious pop melodies to create a style of music utterly their own.
6 Day Riot performed at North by Northeast 2008, debuting a new EP Bring On The Waves, featuring songs written for the festival, including the upcoming single Go! Canada. Their new EP and single are released on Tantrum Records, their own label.
